The LSU Rural Life Museum and Windrush Gardens are open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The entire property is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter. If you wish to stay past 4:30 pm, a $50 security fee will be added to your session total. The front gate at Essen is closed for entry at 4:30 pm daily.
